So my wife’s old Kia had the blower motor stop working recently. It was intermittent and then died. I can’t hear or feel the relay doing anything when turning the blower on at any power level. So I’m guessing the relay is shot.

So can I just bridge the contacts in the relay block to make sure it's not the blower motor or switch?

Yes. Find the correct pins (C and NO most likely) in the base and jump them with appropriately sized stub of wire (or a paperclip and burn your fingers)

Yeah it’s possible as already described. Bear in mind that the relay might have fried because the motor is worn out and consuming too much current. If it burns out the fuse next, it’s time for a new motor.

Word. There's a picture of a coil on one side and the switch on the other. I'm guessing the coil is the relay side.

That's good info. I did check the fuse first and it's fine so far.

The coil is the signal side and the switch is the side you need to bridge (that’s what’s normally open but then gets closed when the coil has a current driven through it).

That's what I thought! Good to get a sanity check.

Good call. I don't know. I would have just bought one, but it was an order situation. I'll check in the morning.
